What is Podcast Movement?
Podcast Movement is THE ultimate gathering spot for anyone interested in or involved with podcasting and the podcast industry.
This year, we plan on being back together in person, and hope to see you there (or that you can still join virtually)!
Our Mission
Simply put, for the past 8 years, the goal of Podcast Movement has been to bring together and educate active and aspiring podcasters, and to grow the podcast community and industry as a whole. This year, we will do this through over 150 educational and informative breakout sessions and panels spread across several tracks, enlightening and encouraging keynote presentations, and fun virtual networking events and parties. With over 10,000 podcasters joining us over the last eight years from over 30 different countries (and growing), we are excited to continue the mission of Podcast Movement!
WHO'S IT FOR?
We’ve taken special care to format the conference in a way that there will be four days worth of sessions and activities, starting with a day of orientations and workshops, followed by three full conference days, that directly benefit anyone currently involved with, or looking to get into, podcasting and the podcast industry. With over 200 speakers and panelists participating in over 100 different sessions for you to pick from, we work hard to make sure there will be something for you at Podcast Movement.
ACTIVE + ASPIRING
We’re excited to feature sessions specifically focused on getting you started the RIGHT way. From basic technical sessions regarding equipment, software, and editing, to learning the best way to craft a story, we have you covered. If you’re experienced, we know even the best recognize things they need to improve on, and we’re bringing in the best podcasters and industry professionals to help you take things up a notch. Whether you’re looking to refine your production, looking for new ways to monetize, or trying to gain more listeners, we’ll have dozens of sessions for you!
INDUSTRY PROS
As with years past, we’re excited to once again be featuring a large selection of sessions and panels geared towards “behind the scenes” teams and industry professionals, as well as those who are from a more traditional radio background. The most successful networks, ad sellers and buyers, statistic providers, and everything in between will be sharing what has been working (and what hasn’t) in the past year, and what they are doing for the future. We put a lot of focus on this, and it’s going to rock!
Trade Show / EXHIBITION HALL
Podcast Movement Central, as we call it, will feature over 70 exhibitors ready to meet you and demo their products and services. From software and service providers, to gear and equipment manufacturers, if they are relevant in the space, you’ll most likely find them there on the three event days!

Along with the rest of the world, Podcast Movement’s world was turned upside down by the Coronavirus Pandemic, which we acknowledge is ongoing.
That said, we are excited about the possibility to be together again in-person with as many of you as possible this August in Dallas.
Being at a Marriott hotel, PM22 will adhere to all elements of their standard Commitment to Clean practices, in addition to additional Podcast Movement implemented safety measures.

Per the hotel, all interior and exterior public spaces (lobby, restaurant, Convention Center, etc.) are accessible to guests with disabilities.
Captioning
This year we are making a concerted effort to make our sessions more accessible than ever before. This will be done by:
- All live streamed stages will be streamed with the option to enable captions using the IBM Watson technology.
- All on-demand sessions will be published with the option to enable captions using the IBM Watson technology.
We acknowledge that these solutions are only a start, and pledge to use this as a starting point for more accessible events in the future.
